Executive Brief: This project aims to bridge the digital divide by reconnecting 10,000+ educational institutions across Ghana.
We have successfully connected over 1,000 sites (Fiber & Radio) in previous phases. This initiative focuses on reactivating this dormant infrastructure, which was paused solely due to historical funding shifts.
Confidential Project Update
Our network audit confirms that Fiber infrastructure is already present at 634 key sites, particularly in Greater Accra and Volta. Reconnection is a matter of reactivating the 'Last Mile' drops.
Beyond fiber, we successfully deployed ~400 Radio links nationwide. These sites have excellent Line of Sight (LOS) and are "Almost Ready" for immediate service restoration.
Status: 100% Infrastructure Ready
We have confirmed 100% site readiness in Greater Accra. The fiber cables are currently lying inactive at these institutions.
Priority Action: Immediate reconnection of fiber drops to activate every school in this cluster.
*Note: Some capacity was temporarily re-routed during the funding pause. This can be reversed immediately.
Status: 100% Infrastructure Ready
Volta Region infrastructure is fully deployed. The Eastern Corridor fiber backbone is live and passing these 93 sites.
Status: Dormant. Service was suspended due to Monthly Recurring Charges (MRC) stoppage during the transition.
*Action: Restore MRC payments to reactivate full service.
Prioritizing Industrial/Technical Institutions
The Western Region holds our key Technical & Industrial Institutions.
Infrastructure is 94% complete. Reactivating these nodes is critical for supporting the industrial training centers in Takoradi and Kikam.
Status: Extensive Footprint Established
We have already connected a significant portion of the Ashanti region. The infrastructure footprint is established.
Action: We are mobilizing teams to physically verify and reactivate the drops. The priority is to bring the network back online immediately.
Status: Phase 2 Re-mobilization
The "Phase 2 Challenge" in the North was purely financial. Work stalled when government funding ceased.
The Pivot: We are reconnecting the major Tertiary Institutions (Anchors) first. With these hubs active, we can rapidly extend the network to the surrounding secondary schools.
Eastern, Central, Brong Ahafo
The infrastructure is already in the ground. Over 1,000 schools have been touched by this project. Leaving these fiber assets dormant risks degradation and theft.
By joining forces, we can bypass the previous financial bottlenecks and reactivate this massive network immediately.
